SWTOR Sage Telekinetic Build Guide Playstyle

This build is a mainly DPSing build you want to focus on correct timing with your cool downs and having a good sense of what ability to use when. It’s key to prioritize your abilities in the correct order to make sure you’re maximizing your overall damage output. You have a lot of AoE damage abilities, and talents that make those abilities really pack a punch.

With this build style you always want to be leading off your rotations with Weaken mind, and you always want to be utilizing this skill whenever it comes down off cool down. Now you have a situational choice after Weaken mind is used, if you see a lot of enemies clustered closely together you want to utilize your AoE abilities and the rotation for that would be (after Weaken Mind) lead off with Turbulence, then follow that up with Telekinetic Wave, then Force quake.

Now the option for a single target rotation is a bit more lengthy, and requires a bit more attentiveness to cool downs. After starting off with Weaken Mind, follow that up with Disturbance if your Concentration allows for it, then use Mind Crush, then Turbulence (AoE abilities still do good even in single target situations), Then use telekinetic Wave, then Telekinetic Throw followed finally by Disturbance once again.

Now with all this in mind, don’t put too much thought into it, just get into the habit of prioritizing these abilities in the correct order so you can really put out all of the damage that you possibly can. It’s very simple once you get the hang of it but at first the sheer amount of abilities and the importance of order can be a bit daunting.

Despite being a mainly DPSing class, you are a bit squishy to try your best to keep out of harm’s way, even though you use a light saber, you can get away with doing most of your damage at a good range away from the fight. So if you do happen to pick up agro, you most likely will give the tank some time to regain it before the NPC gets to you and hits you making the healer’s job trickier.

Keep an eye on your force points, they’re the key to maximizing your DPS and running out of them could cause a sudden drop in damage and you’re left without means of assisting your team.  It might not seem all that important but there’s no real way of quickly regenerating your force points with this class.

Don’t neglect your Crowd Control abilities, if your team needs it they will ask for it but it would be best if you knew what you were doing ahead of time so you don’t look foolish and waste your team’s time. It’s important to keep everyone in the team happy because then they preform to their best.

Concentration: A good talent especially for PvP because you need to keep on your toes mobility wise. It will reduce the pushback effect suffered while activating Disturbance, Telekinetic Wave and Turbulence by 70%. In addition, Disturbance has a 100% chance to increase your force regeneration rate by 10% for 10 seconds. This can stack up to 3 times.

Psychic Projection: This is a key Talent for you to maximize your ability cool downs, as well as your damage. Weaken Mind critical hits have a 100% chance to grant Psychic Projection, causing your next Telekinetic Throw to channel and tick twice as fast. This effect will only occur one every 10 seconds.

Turbulence: huge damage ability, because of the critical hits from Weaken Mind. This deals 1003-1115 internal damage to a single target. Turbulence automatically critically hits targets affected by Weaken mind.

Telekinetic Momentum: this is another one of those key damage talents, a great one to pick up just to maximize your damage output. When you activate Disturbance or Telekinetic Wave, there is a 30% chance the ability will produce a second attack that strikes the same targets for 30% damage.

Telekinetic Wave: A great damage ability, mostly because of the critical effect of Weaken Mind. This will send a wave of telekinetic energy that deals 1298-1410 kinetic damage to up to 5 targets within 8 meters of the primary target.
